Warmer Weather Gloves Review by Davec5
First thing I did before buying these gloves was to check the Louis Garneau website and thought I had finally found gloves rated to the minus Canberra temps we get. I realised the error of my ways when I went riding on a minus 4 degree morning and didn't get far from home before my fingers were frozen. My error was that the LG website is Canadian and the claimed temps were in degrees F not C .
So that aside these are very well made gloves, quite slim in terms of fit and for that reason you can certainly feel the stiched seams inisde, but I suspect with regular wear these would settle down. Being slim I would opt for the larger size where you fall in between sizes or are at the top end of the fit range, and that would give you the option of wearing an under glove with them which might boost their cold weather performance (my next experiement with them). They are claimed to be windproof and waterproof, and in my view they are really an in between seasons glove, probably more suited to riding in Sydney or Brisbane, i.e. the warmer areas where it never really gets too cold. For me its pretty much straight out of winter gloves and into fingerless summer so not sure how much use I will get from these.
For those that like style, they certainly look great. Nice long cuff as well, and great feel on the shifters and brakes.
